Freelance Creative Copywriter

Multiple agencies in the healthcare brand comms industry, across a wide range of indications such as oncology, haematology, endocrinology, dermatology, asthma and others. Agencies I’ve worked with include Boom! Communications, King Campbell & Friends, Engage-In-Health, Frontera, Hammell, Brandcast, KVA, Avalere, Open Health and more. All types of materials written for multiple audiences, including patient support programmes and HCP education.

Senior Creative Copywriter - OPEN Health

Draft and proofread marketing, advertising and website copy that's engaging and successful in conveying branding ideas.


Research and write technical articles on a wide range of health conditions for multiple audiences; principally patients and HCPs but also payors, investors, allied professionals and the general public.


Create brand books and style guides for newly launching and re-launching pharmaceutical brands, products and services.


Write patient support materials for client-sponsored unbranded engagement programmes. Examples include multimedia PSPs for people with type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, chronic myeloid leukaemia, familial hypercholesterolaemia and autoimmune conditions.

 

Edit and proof a range of documents (PowerPoint, Trello boards, Miro boards, print spec, Word, Excel etc.) for proper grammar, spelling and
punctuation.


Lead workshops on writing technique, grammar and storytelling.

Create illustrations and diagrams for multiple clients, usually to explain complex scientific principles in an accessible way but also, for example, as brand icons for a local charity, in a pitch presentation, and in patient materials. The local charity (Alexander Devine hospice) now use my illustrations in all their email signatures, on their Facebook page and in all their marketing materials.
